The ATC Approach

Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced weight lifter, we provide guidance, support, and accountability so you reach your fitness goals.

Fully customized training plans: We ensure your training considers YOUR goals, mobility, strengths, and weaknesses. No two people are the same, so neither are their workouts.

Goal-specific plans: We train with end goals in mind and recognize that the gym is only one component of your fitness routine. Whether your goal is to compete in a triathlon or to be able to lift your groceries in your 90s, ATC Fitness can help you meet them.

Optimized training: We define performance markers to optimize your custom training program—such as a 1 rep max, a 10k time, a blood lipid measurement, or a specific body composition analysis.

We focus on high intensity interval and strength training that complements your other fitness activities—walking, running, cycling, swimming, hiking, etc. Our equipment and techniques build both strength and cardiovascular fitness. And we will measure your progress to ensure your program is efficient and effective.

“When I first started running longer endurance races and trail races, I knew that I needed to add strength training to perform better and prevent injury. Not only did my race times improve but I also found I would not get fatigued as quickly and recovery does not take as long. I’m also an alpine skier. I can say that I have never felt so strong and confident skiing as I do now, which has led me to feel good skiing in the glades and even big mountains out West, on back to back days. ATC has helped me in both seasons with personalized training plans that complement one another, which is no easy task!”

coach Leo Morton

Watching someone achieve a new PR is exciting. But I really enjoy watching people embrace their struggle. I believe what is gained in the gym has a greater impact on your life outside the gym. A good program builds not only strength, but mental fortitude. Challenging your body allows you to develop strategies to handle all of life’s challenges.

I am a certified Strength & Conditioning coach with 25+ years’ training experience. Whether working with elite professional athletes, high school athletes, or general fitness clients, I will help you reach your goals of fat loss, muscle building, or mobility restoration. I am an eternal student, always learning and applying the most effective training methods. I have coached World Champion BJJ athlete Robert Drysdale, top three-ranked professional boxer Edwin Rodriquez, as well as clients ranging from 12 to 92 years old.

Certifications:

  • Functional Movement Screen Specialist (FMS)

  • Precision Nutrition Certified Level One Coach (PN1)

“Everything I do with Leo affects every part of my life in a positive way.  From the littlest to the biggest things, it affects me.  From simple tasks such as hanging something up at the house, to mowing the lawn, to moving heavy furniture by myself.  Everything is improved with my added strength and mobility.”

— Peter, 62

“After recovering from a catastrophic ankle injury/surgery, I decided to rebuild strength at ATC. Leo takes great care, communicating with my PT, to develop programs that are personalized to my specific abilities, limitations and goals. I’m getting strong! Thanks!”
